International Disability Rights Monitor (IDRM) Publications - IDRM Report Cards

An important feature of the International Disability Rights Monitor (IDRM) regional reports is the report card.  Each regional report is accompanied by a report card, which displays at a glance the extent to which fundamental human rights protections for people with disabilities have been implemented in each country in the region and allows for direct comparisons between these countries.  The report cards are based on a series of quantitative indicators designed to illuminate social, economic and cultural conditions for people with disabilities in each country. Based on indicator surveys, each country is assigned to one of three categories: Most Inclusive, Moderately Inclusive or Least Inclusive. Report cards serve as a simple way for governments and citizens to assess the progress that has been made towards securing the rights of people with disabilities and to evaluate what still must be done.
